Pathfinder Foundation Website Relaunched | 01-03-2022

The newly developed website of the Pathfinder Foundation, www.pathfinderfoundation.org, was launched on Tuesday, March 1, in New Delhi by Mr. Kailash Satyarthi, a renowned Indian social activist and founder of ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’, which campaigned to create a child-friendly society, where all children are free from exclusion and exploitation and receive free education. H. E. Mr. Milinda Moragoda, Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner in India and founder of the Pathfinder Foundation, was present at the event.

Mr. Satyarthi is a Nobel laureate and Indian social reformer who campaigned against child labour in India and advocated for universal education. In 2014, he was the co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Malala Yousafzai, for their struggle against the suppression of children and youth and the right of all children to education.

The Pathfinder Foundation (PF), established in 2008, is a non-profit, non-partisan, research & advocacy think-tank dedicated to playing an important role in public policy, strategic and security related issues. Lately, Pathfinder has engaged in ocean centric affairs focusing on the Indian Ocean in general and the Bay of Bengal in particular. The Foundation has also played a catalytic role in research and analysis to contribute to economic policy reforms in Sri Lanka. Over the years, Pathfinder has established a wide network of partner organizations worldwide. Serving as a platform to engage in critical thinking and cross-disciplinary analysis, the Foundation aims to increase knowledge and raise awareness of salient issues with relevant stakeholders locally and internationally.

The newly launched website has been designed and developed to showcase the Foundation’s activities better and reach out to a broader audience across the globe. Visitors will be able to navigate through the site easily and learn more about the Pathfinder Centres and Affiliates and tap into the extensive library of Pathfinder publications, including policy papers & reports, books and newspaper columns & articles.

The Pathfinder Foundation’s website is also linked to the organization’s biennial flagship event – The Pathfinder Indian Ocean Security Conference (PFIOSC). Readers may visit www.pathfinderfoundation.lk to learn more about the next conference scheduled for March 4, 2022 at 13:00hrs.
